What a game!!! I’ll tell you what – even though I picked the Pats to cover the 11.5 point spread, by the time the game rolled around, I was rooting for Eli and the G-Men as hard as anyone. Congratulations to them – they clearly wanted the championship more, and they played harder to get it. Not too many mistakes (a few, but not TOO many) and a whole slew of big plays at the right times (big 4th down run by Jacobs, huge 45-yard catch by Boss down the middle, David Tyree with one of the greatest catches i’ve ever seen, and oh yeah – Eli scrambling and throwing the TD pass with under a minute to go in the game, etc.) How about the pressure the defense put on Brady? It seemed like he was on the ground more times in that game than he was all season – and I enjoyed every minute of it.
There’s a whole lot more to say about the game, and i’m sure we’ll have an article or two about it in the next week or so…but for now, i’ll suffice it to say that the Giants are the Super Bowl champions – and they deserve it!

Bob & Brian (tie) – 5-5-1
Evan (way behind) – 3-7-1
But there is a $275 check coming my way from a Super Bowl pool that says I’m okay with those standings!!
