According to Rotoworld.com, Philip Rivers has a partially torn ACL, and is listed as Doubtful for Sunday game at New England. The good news is that he’s been dealing with this injury for the last few weeks and has played through it pretty well – but the bad news is that since it has been confirmed that the ACL is partially torn, it is going to be tough to put him out there against the Pats. He did practice today (Friday), though, and will be a game-time decision based on his pregame warmups.
LT practiced yesterday (Thursday), but is still questionable for Sunday’s game (he’ll play, unless he suffers a setback). Gates, however, is also doubtful – and will be a game-time decision along with Rivers.
Even with these injury updates - which admittedly don’t bode well for San Diego – I stand by my pick! Go Chargers!
